Frequently asked questions about podcast studios in Germany
The cost of recording a podcast in Germany depends heavily on whether you just want to rent a studio or book a fully managed production. Simple studio rentals start at lower hourly rates, while professional video podcasts including editing and publishing fall into the mid-to-higher price range.
At Podhaus, the price is primarily determined by three factors:
1. Format (audio-only vs. video podcast)
2. Production support (operator, live editing, branded setup)
3. Post-production (editing, clips, distribution)
If you let us know your goal and format, we can check the appropriate scope of services and the total price for you.
A professional studio booking is more than just "a room." At Podhaus, every booking is intended as a managed production environment. Depending on the service selected, your booking includes professional audio recording, lighting, camera production, and an operator who manages the equipment.
You will receive the files via a secure link. Editing, reels, branding, and distribution can be added if needed.
There are two ways to book:
1. Online booking for ad-hoc sessions and bundles via our booking system.
2. Booking via our team for retainers and corporate formats (including special services).
A booking is only considered confirmed once it has been confirmed in writing and the payment terms have been met (depending on the booking type).
No. Our studio exists specifically so that you don't have to worry about the technology. We handle microphones, camera settings, lighting, and the entire recording workflow. You arrive prepared with your content for the session. Upon request, we can also help with a simple run-of-show for a smooth recording.
Yes. Podhaus is designed for video podcasting. We produce talking-head formats for YouTube, LinkedIn, and corporate channels. Video podcasts are recorded with multiple camera angles and professional lighting so that the look is consistent and brand-safe.
For hobby content, your home might suffice. For professional brand communication, a studio is usually better because you receive the following services:
• consistently high audio quality
• controlled lighting
• a stable recording workflow
• time savings
• no technical risk on your end
For companies and agencies, a studio also reduces internal effort and delivers predictable quality.
Yes. We support corporate and brand clients with formats such as thought leadership, executive interviews, internal communications, and client-facing series. Corporate productions usually require more structure: format planning, brand consistency, release schedules, and clean delivery. We can provide end-to-end support or integrate into your team.
The standard turnaround is 5-7 business days from the recording date, provided all necessary assets are available (logo, intro/outro, naming, clip requests, etc.). Faster delivery is possible depending on the schedule. Projects involving approvals, multiple languages, or ad integrations usually require more time.
Yes. We offer distribution support. Typically:
• Spotify as the primary host
• Apple Podcasts and Amazon Music via RSS distribution
• YouTube as a video podcast upload
We can set up accounts or publish under your existing account (recommended). Responsibilities and access are clearly documented.
Corporate podcast production is usually calculated per episode or as a monthly program because it involves more: planning, coordination, approvals, editing, and delivery structure. Typical ranges go from a few hundred euros (recording only) to €900–€1,500+ per episode for video, editing, clips, and distribution. For monthly releases, a retainer is usually the most sensible model.
Yes. Our Half-Day Production Block reserves 4 hours of continuous studio time plus an optional free 1-hour break. This is ideal if you want to record multiple pieces of content without time pressure and need to make setup adjustments in between.
Yes, that is one of the most efficient methods. With good planning, you can record multiple episodes or segments in a half-day or full-day session. We recommend a schedule that includes time for guest changes, mic checks, and quick set resets between episodes.
We use a professional multi-camera and studio audio setup to ensure consistently high quality. The exact configuration is managed by our team. If you have specific technical requirements (e.g., file format, visual style, microphone preferences), please let us know in advance so we can check everything for you.
Depending on the format, we can generally accommodate up to four speakers comfortably.
You own the rights to your content. Podhaus makes no claim to ownership.
Marketing use: We may use short clips for marketing purposes (website, social media, portfolio) unless you notify us in writing beforehand of an embargo or request that we do not use them. We naturally respect all embargoes.
There is no on-site parking available. Parking options can be found in the surrounding area. Please allow extra time for your arrival, especially during peak hours. We will send you specific instructions before your appointment.
Yes. Our studio in Wandsbek is easily accessible by public transport. Upon request, we can send recommended routes with your booking confirmation.
We accept:
• Card payment
• SEPA bank transfer
For recurring corporate clients, payment by invoice may be possible under a retainer model (subject to review and a minimum term).
Yes. In most cases, an advance payment is required to confirm a studio booking. The appointment is only finalized in our calendar once payment has been received.
This policy ensures that production times can be planned reliably and that slots are not blocked at short notice without being used.
For bookings made directly through our online booking system, payment is processed during the booking flow.
If a booking is organized by our team (e.g., for custom productions, series formats, or corporate projects), the invoice must be settled at least five working days before the recording date.
Different payment terms may be agreed upon for long-term production partnerships or retainer models.
Cancellations within 24 hours are charged in full, as studio time and staff are reserved exclusively and are difficult to rebook on short notice.
For earlier cancellations, rescheduling options may apply depending on the booking type and terms. (If flexibility is important, a retainer is often the more suitable model.)
Your final files will be available via Google Drive (or a secure link) for 14 days. After that, they will be deleted. Clients are responsible for downloading and backing up their files in time.
